MY SANTORINI STORY BOOK ~ PART 2

Hello everyone!

I’ve received so many wonderful comments on Part 1 of my 2-Part Santorini post. Thank you for all the sweet words. If you loved the photos i posted of my daytime escapade in this beautiful place, you should see how Santorini comes to life at night. How the lights seem to form a romantic language all on their own, i will never ever get to figure out… The experience is all so magical. We start with the magnificent grecian sunset down to the spectacular display of lights all across Oia. Enjoy!

So what happens when the sun sets over the lovely calderas of Santorini?

We almost missed this spectacle at 7:30 in the evening! Running for our lives amidst the crowd to get to the perfect sunset spot was indeed worth it! Look at that beauty =)

Dubbed as the most beautiful sunset in the world. Yes, she is.

She turns into a deep orange and dark purple as she nears the kiss of the night.

Gorgeous view, isn’t it? But wait till you see the crowd we battled just to get these photos! teehee Yep, the world’s most beautiful sunset sure does have her own set of admirers.. hundreds of us, all over the world.

Had dinner at Oia’s most celebrated restaurant: Pelekanos. Such a must visit when in Santorini. Highly recommended.

The basil and tomato pasta in greek olive oil was yum! =)

Best lamb shanks i’ve ever tasted by far! Melts in your mouth butter smooth… hmmmm =)

Crisp and fresh calamari caught and cooked the same day straight off the waters of Amoudi Bay.

Now that our tummies are stuffed, time to go for a little walk around Oia.

This place is a gold mine of greek souvenirs.

Every corner leads you to some place worth stopping. Even the details of the buildings were already a sight for sore eyes.

And somewhere in this little underground store lies a treasure trove of designer goodies. Amazing.

Alright, enough shopping. We know what we’re really waiting to see… The gorgeous view! hehe

Sigh… ladies and gentlemen… This is Oia, Santorini underneath the majestic, starlit skies.

Here’s hoping this post helps you in your future travel to this little piece of heaven on earth. Truly, Santorini is a place like no other. I would have wanted to include photos of my trip down Amoudi Bay but i figured that will have to be in another separate post. I want this blog solely dedicated to the majestic beauty of Santorini at night. I can’t wait to visit it again someday.. That second time, with the love of my life holding my hand.
