MY SANTORINI STORY BOOK~Part 1

Of the deepest blue domes, white washed walls and chasing the world’s most beautiful sunset… =)

Hello everyone! I can’t really put into words how i felt the moment i step foot into a place i thought i’d only be able to see in books..I thought i could only see Santorini in my Pinterest board and read all about it in Google! hehe It was all so surreal. And to this day i can still feel the goosebumps just thinking about everything i saw. I still cannot believe it all—- seeing the iconic blue and white houses, eating the yummiest greek salads and melt-in-your-mouth greek lamb shanks, margaritas in the afternoon and the sweetest grapes i’ve ever tasted my whole life, seeing marriage proposals every minute and chasing the world’s most beautiful sunset….. It’s all so amazing, all so hard to sink in– but it happened.

Yet eager as i am to recount all the emotions that came with the experience, photographs will have to do when words fail me for now. I cannot think of any word, no matter how many wonderful adjectives there are in the  English dictionary, to describe just how beautiful this place is. I do know however, that Santorini is like no other… and that visiting it at least once is an unforgettable experience of a lifetime.

Blessed to have been able to book the ONLY flight from Rome to Santorini for the week. Thank you, Aegean Air! =)

first taste of all things Greek during that dream-come-true hour long flight.

My heart wouldn’t stop thumping as i heard the head flight attendant say , ” Cabin crew, prepare for arrival. Ladies and gentlemen… Welcome to Santorini”

First shock of the night: Taxi cabs in Greece are crazy… Mercedes crazy! hihi Second shock of the night: IT WAS OUR TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL!! woah hihihi

Welcome to Agnadi…. our lovely home away from home =)

First look at our little place and i knew this little trip was already one for the books… =) Gorgeous.

Woke up early the next day only to find out that sunrise isn’t until an hour or so! hihi This is how 7am looks like. hehehe

Good morning, Santorini! This is where breakfast is served.

And at 8:00 am sharp… the breakfast buffet was ready! milk, cheese and honey with grapes, bread and cold cuts… i could get used to this. =)

The sun was finally out and as soon as we finished our breakfast, we hurriedly went out for a walk to take in the beauty that is Oia, Santorini. We saw a lot of cobblestones…

We saw blue doors.. lots of blue doors.

They have this thing for vintage doors that lead to open spaces, no room at the other end! hihi so cute!

And then we saw this….. =) Isn’t Oia just breathtaking? Literally shrieked with delight when we finally saw this beautiful sight after a 5-10 minute walk.

Closer… sigh =) This is love =)

I”ve never seen waters this blue… Aegean Sea, you are truly a beauty. Loving the spectacular background for Steph’s photo op! hihihi

It’s a long way down.. but who can can ever get tired of this amazing view?

I could stare at all of these all day.

I can just imagine how lovely their photographs will be… lucky couple.
